Yes, AI is popping up all over. The amazing thing is that "deep learning" actually works. We've had neural nets since the 1960s, and by the 1980s, most people in AI were convinced that was a dead end. Yet now neural nets are doing useful work. They haven't even changed much. They're just bigger, and with slightly different weighting and initialization functions.
