Cellphones are very common in third-world countries. If a currency works on a cheap smartphone, most of the world's poor will be able to use it before long.


I come from a third world country. We are far from adopting digital currencies, let alone understand it.


At the moment, so is everybody else. Even in the U.S. it's still a pretty small crowd of early adopters. Most people I talk to have never heard of it.
