Backend engineer, 10+ years. About a decade in PHP (Laravel daily 2021-2024), plus Python and Node. The last few years I have worked close to cross-border payments: P2P, 3-D Secure, and multi-country card and local rails across the CIS and Asia, in a regulated environment.
On my own I also build and run data-API products: 24+ live APIs on Apify and RapidAPI, around 1,000 users, 99.9% uptime, all solo from spec to production to support.
I develop AI-first: I use Claude Code and Cursor to generate code, then review, test and ship it. Comfortable owning things end to end and working async.
Looking for remote backend or payments roles (fintech, crypto payments, iGaming). Remote is my first choice, but I am open to relocation with visa sponsorship. Full-time or B2B contract (registered sole trader in Germany). I am at my best building, so I welcome take-home tasks over live-coding.
