Second to this, I don't recommend using the built-in script editor. It's slow as all hell and not that helpful when learning how to write your first scripts. Instead, I recommend the Script Editor that comes with PowerGUI. It has IntelliSense (sort of), which is kind of a crutch in the beginning but displays the sheer amount of power Powershell has.
