The problem with self driving cars is that you can never rely on a human to take over at a moments notice. Google perfected the self driving car over a decade ago but found that once on the motorway (Freeway for my transatlantic cousins) they literally switched of, rummaged around in the back did everything other than be able to take over the wheel at a moments notice.
